From the kitchen of Diane Bolles:

Combine these:

  • 1 Cup Butter, softened (Diane actually used shortening, but I prefer the taste of butter in a cooking)
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar

  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-1/3 Cups All Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Blend in:

  • 2 Cups Rolled Oats
  • 6 Ounce package of Chocolate Chips
  • 1/2 Cup Butterscotch Chips

Drop by large spoonfuls onto a parchment lined baking sheet.

Bake at 350 for 11-12 minutes for soft cookies; 13-15 minutes for crispy. (I prefer 12 minutes.)

Makes 3 Dozen Cookies.

The table is my favorite place to gather. It is where family & friends are nourished by good food and good conversation, as the sacred and the ordinary intersect over meals served daily.
