PLATTERS & BOARDS

“I’ve done the research & my findings are extremely consistent: if you want to make people happy immediately upon entering your (home), put together an egregiously large cheese board.

There are no rules, of course, but I usually start with three cheeses, one soft.
Three pickle-y/olive-y things, three kinds of cured meats, two or three kinds of fruit, two or three kinds of fresh vegetables, and two kinds of crackers, one gluten free.
And then nuts, honey, hummus—whatever.

The rest of the evening’s menu is immaterial, at this point.” – Shauna Niequist

I couldn’t agree more.

This is one of my favorite cookbooks.  It sits on a book stand in my kitchen and it is a great resource to help you create beautiful boards for the people you invite to your table…
